The photographer captured rare sea wolves that live in the ocean and swim for hours.

A population of sea wolves lives on the Pacific coast of British Columbia. “We know from exhaustive DNA studies that these wolves are genetically different from their continental relatives,” says photographer Ian McAllister. “They differ in that they swim from island to island and prey on marine animals. They are also morphologically different - these wolves are smaller size and physically different from the mainland counterparts, "continues McAllister. This man has been enthusiastically studying amazing predatory dogs for two decades.

The photographer managed to capture the inexplicable magic of sea wolves in a series of stunning pictures. Looking at these shots, you will realize how close McAllister was fortunate enough to get to the beautiful, but very dangerous creatures. They are unique in many ways, but one of the most amazing facts is that sea wolves are great swimmers and can sail 7.5 miles from land!
