In the USA, a woman made a small street pantry where you can leave food to the needy.

Recently, in the city of Fayetteville (Arkansas, USA), many free libraries have opened, and the local athlete Jessica McClard drew attention to the fact that they are very popular among the population. “It seems to me that small free structures create space for good deeds and solving important social problems,” the woman says. Thus, she came up with the idea of a small free street pantry.

Its creation cost only $ 250. The pantry was set next to the Lutheran church. The project immediately became popular and in a matter of days gained 10 thousand fans on Facebook. And most importantly - this initiative inspired residents of other US states to build the same free street pantries, in which everyone in need can take their own food.

When Jessica saw how popular the free library was in her city, she came up with an idea even better.

She created a free street pantry where people can leave goods and food for those who need them.

In late spring, she installed the first such box near the Lutheran church.

Jessica was amazed: people filled the pantry in no time!

Today, the project has already acquired a community of thousands on Facebook, and such free pantries have begun to appear in other places.

“Peanut butter and jelly, feminine hygiene products and diapers are in demand.”

"It seems to me that small free structures create a space for good deeds and solving important social problems."

One of the storerooms was installed near the school so that children could receive the necessary school supplies.
