31-year-old Dean Nicholson was tired of the boring everyday life of the welder, and he decided to go all out. Last September, Dean quit his job and set off on his bike from his hometown of Dunbar in Scotland. Everything was great, he managed to go round eight countries, until his loneliness suddenly broke ... On the border between Montenegro and Bosnia, while climbing the steep slope, Dan heard a mournful meow. His heart sank from the picture he saw: a little kitty stood all alone, not far from the road. The man stopped to pet her, but the cat was quicker: she was so affectionate that Dean could not resist and decided to take her with him. Yes, and who would resist, admit?

The cat was terribly hungry, and the traveler decided that someone had thrown the animal intentionally. He fed her and immediately gave her a name - Nala, in honor of the lioness from The Lion King. Dean took her to the vet, and when it was confirmed that the cat was healthy, they went to conquer the world together.

Since Nicholson had no room for a kitten, he emptied the basket at the helm, so his new fellow traveler got the most vacant seat. Later, a house for Nala appeared on a bicycle so that she was as comfortable as possible.

Dean says that Nala loves to travel. She does not feel any discomfort at all, sleeps well in a tent, sits in a basket, and sometimes climbs onto the traveler’s shoulder. True, in the winter they had to suspend the trip: due to cold and rain, Nala fell ill, and Dean stayed at the hostel for several weeks to wait until the cat recovered. After that, the traveler made the house waterproof for his companion, and they again continued on their way. So they roam around Europe, Dean Nicholson and his kitty Nala.
