An engineer uses UV photography to show how the sun affects our skin.

Pierre-Louis Ferrer became interested in photography back in 2006, studying electronics and optical sensors. Six years later, the engineer became interested in infrared shooting, which made it possible to see in the pictures what was inaccessible to the naked eye. This niche technique has captured Ferrer so much that he continues his curious experiments with her to this day.

Pierre-Louis is now focusing on UV photography techniques that can be applied to people to detect the effects of the environment on their skin. Three years ago, an engineer completely devoted himself to this important matter, leaving the main profession.

His works are valuable both from a scientific and an artistic point of view. Each image consists of two parts - a portrait of a person as a whole, devoid of any embellishment, and a more abstract part - a close-up area of ​​the body where you can see the skin in the smallest details and see its true condition, which cannot be seen without special equipment.
