Photographer takes unique people from all over the world at Istanbul Airport

Mustafa Cankaya is a photographer from Istanbul who also works at Ataturk Airport. Every day in the air harbor he sees thousands of people from different cultures and different parts of the world. He says that for a photographer like him, this place is a real treasure. It inspired him to combine his work at the airport with a passion for photography and create a project called "100 Faces - 100 Countries."

Almost every day, Cankaya walks along the transit part of the airport, trying to find the right people. These people should be different from others, stand out from their background. "It can be a hairstyle or dress, but the most important thing is the atmosphere between me and the man."- says Mustafa.

"I started the project in March 2018, and currently I have 117 portraits of people from 77 countries. I will continue my project and hope to do an exhibition with portraits of residents of 100 countries.".
